I realize some on the list may not be able to read the post below because of
formatting, so here's the short version.

The Alliance for Biking and Walking is an organization that helps grassroots
groups like Bike Fed and Bike Walk Madison get started and stay strong for a
long time. They give advice, help with all the things groups need, have
mutual aid calls, and generally rock to make walking and biking better in
communities around North America.

There is a benefit ride going on, and if you are on Twitter, you can support
the Alliance by signing on to follow the ride. If 100,000 people sign on to
follow, the Alliance will get $42,000. So this is a fairly painless way to
support a great group.

Here's a statement from the Director as well as the link:

"The Alliance is asking all its members, supporters, and biking enthusiasts
to support biking and walking by signing up to follow the 42Ride on twitter

.
If the challenge is met, the Alliance will use the $42,000 donation to
further its work strengthening and uniting grassroots biking and walking
advocacy organizations across North America."

Thanks.

"Bicycling is one of the best ways to explore your community and our country
