FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OUR NINE YEAR HISTORY, there is first floor space for an organization which would like to be a long term member of the Social Justice Center. This organization must have a social justice mission. The Social Justice Center has the following to offer! - Up to 2,000 square feet of social justice-oriented, accessible, office space in a property located in the bustling, central Willy Street neighborhood. The office is at the intersection of Few and Williamson Street, the progressive heart of the city. -Organizations participate in the collaborative administration and governance of the building. -Unique and invaluable opportunities to network and collaborate with the other progressive non-profit organizations housed in the building. -Access to a central conference room which also serves as a community meeting space. -Low-cost shared high-speed DSL internet access. -An outdoor seating/break area on Few Street surrounded by a blossoming rain garden. -Car parking space for a monthly fee; ample on-street parking -Locked basement storage space -Cleaning service -A half-time staff person who manages and coordinates the building -The Jackie Macaulay Gallery, an art gallery that has regular exhibits of local, socially conscious, social justice-inspired, and humanitarian art -Shared kitchen and accessible bathrooms -The Incubator (see below) -A chance to be part of some of the most cutting edge social justice work happening in Madison today! Also Available . . . The SJC Incubator, has space available for fledgling progressive non-profits with rents as low as $75 – and that includes: access to a copier, use of the conference room, shared kitchen, accessible bathroom, and cleaning service.
