There is so very much wrong with Thuy, yet paradoxically, there are people who think she is a "Superwoman" and should run for Mayor. Don't believe me? Listen to these clips:

Not only was she the only vote against her own neighborhood's plan, but she utterly refused to work with the neighborhood reps (who had previously offered to consult with Thuy) in order to address some of her concerns. No fewer than four members of the council openly suggested that she needs to learn to work more effectively. Thuy's response was that she isn't a "political junkie" and doesn't have time to learn how to work effectively with the system. In closing, Thuy said "I am who I am". The plan passed 19-1, with only Thuy voting "no". The real shame of it is that Thuy's stated concern is that all these supposedly objectionable items take money and time away from fighting crime in D20, yet Thuy has failed to introduce and pass a resolution that would help her district fight crime. So far the press has declined to take note of Thuy's lack of effectiveness, outside of covering the story of the Mayor stripping her of all but one committee assignment - and even that was covered more from an angle of the Mayor being unfair to Thuy. However, the administrator of that forum now routinely deletes my comments. If you haven't got the time to do anything else, I would suggest sending a letter to the editor, or posting on a blog. If Karl Rove can get former TX Gov.
