Was that Nancy Mistele in the audio telling Thuy Pham-Remmel to run for mayor? Good thing Nancy was sent packing in her race for County Exec! I have been to a few city council meetings and to listen to this woman ramble on incoherently is an embarrassment. And she takes up so much time doing so!! She would be so easy to defeat if one would simply go through the channel 12 archives of council meetings and make a youtube video of her speeches. I'm hoping that her idiotic ramblings against her own neighborhood plan is enough for people in her district to sit up and take notice of her incompetency. Perhaps someone with some spare time could make a great Thuy video .... You could start with the September 1 archive of the council meeting at http://www.cityofmadison.com/mcc12/

There is so very much wrong with Thuy, yet paradoxically, there are people
who think she is a "Superwoman" and should run for Mayor. Don't believe me?
Listen to these clips:

Her most recent accomplishment was opposing the Midvale/Westmoreland
Neighborhood (In her own district) plan which in part contained a
recommendation for more bike amenities.

Not only was she the only vote against her own neighborhood's plan, but she
utterly refused to work with the neighborhood reps (who had previously
offered to consult with Thuy) in order to address some of her concerns. No
fewer than four members of the council openly suggested that she needs to
learn to work more effectively. Thuy's response was that she isn't a
"political junkie" and doesn't have time to learn how to work effectively
with the system. In closing, Thuy said "I am who I am".

The plan passed 19-1, with only Thuy voting "no".

The real shame of it is that Thuy's stated concern is that all these
supposedly objectionable items take money and time away from fighting crime
in D20, yet Thuy has failed to introduce and pass a resolution that would
help her district fight crime. So far the press has declined to take note
of Thuy's lack of effectiveness, outside of covering the story of the Mayor
stripping her of all but one committee assignment - and even that was
covered more from an angle of the Mayor being unfair to Thuy.

I have been trying to fight the good fight at:

http://www.thedailypage.com/blaska/

to try to spread the word about the problems with Thuy. However, the
administrator of that forum now routinely deletes my comments.

If you haven't got the time to do anything else, I would suggest sending a
letter to the editor, or posting on a blog. If Karl Rove can get former TX
Gov. Ann Richards defeated by spreading the false rumor that she was a
lesbian, I think us bikies could help remove Thuy by spreading the truth
about Thuy's total incompatibility with city government.
