A judge has ruled that DOT did not adequately consider environmental, development (urban sprawl), or air quality impacts as well as the impact a road would have on the rural nature of the area. Also interesting is that he ruled that the "open house" format of accepting public comments on projects was not "public" enough, and that citizens should be able to voice their opinions and concerns directly to DOT and in front of the rest of the public.
