(Sorry, I sent this individually first - meant to send it to the list)
The Tocora cut-through allows people to get from Midvale Heights to Research
Park without traveling on high traffic, relatively high speed auto routes
(Mineral Point, Odana etc. ) Perhaps even more important in the long run is
that after riding along Science Drive and Research Park Blvd., you have
relatively easy access the Beltline bike path to Grand Canyon Drive and on to
Elver Park.  You could (if you wanted to) go from, say, Hilldale to Woodman's
without much trouble.  West Towne is still difficult to visit for people who
choose to travel by bike, but we are now much closer.

Why, it's at the end of Tocora Lane, of course.  ;-)     Tocora Lane is a long
block south of Mineral Point Road and it currently dead ends at the Research
Park.  The cut through will give access to Research Park from the east and
allow bicyclists to avoid either riding on Mineral Point Road or having to go
up the Tokay Blvd hill from Segoe Rd to access the businesses in Research
Park.   John Rider-----Original Message-----

Construction on the Tocora cut through has well and truly begun.  I was
actually able to ride across almost all the way (though it was a LOT easier
this evening after the soil had dried out a bit)
I know that the plan was to complete the path this fall, but I was dubious.
Nice follow-through, folks.  Thanks.
