Well, We might have to wait until 2014 for the intersection to be reconfigured. That is not an excuse to wait on making this a safer intersection. This spring would not be too soon to have bike boxes and bike lanes painted in. Lanes for turning cyclists are essential as well. And a few highly visible signs bringing driver's attention to the bikeway x-ing would be helpful.
