Hi All,

Last one for a while. Rode the Southwest, Military Ridge and Cap City trails yesterday.

The Southwest is snow-covered but very ridable, plowed from one end to the other.

Rode the Cap City on Tuesday night as well, at which time it had started to drift over in the less sheltered areas. As of yesterday evening, the snow we got on Wednesday had not been plowed. Snow bike and your mad off-road skillz *or* a willingness to get off and push some short stretches recommended. Tuesday:

(sorry I don't have anything better, but I needed both hands while riding over most of these.)

Actually, saying that I rode the Military Ridge is only partly true. Once I pushed through the unplowed section from the trailhead at highway PD to where it passes under 18/151 just east of Verona, I was able to ride to Riley pretty easily on the snowmobile tracks. Unfortunately for me, the Tap was closed and I had to go without my burger and beer. I guess it would have paid to call ahead, as it was a very loooong ride home.

Happy New Year,
