What kind of jacket/coat do you wear?

If it's above 20-25 degrees, I wear a lightweight shell over a windproof fleece
and/or a down vest. All three have full-length zips, so I modify my temp by
unzipping and/or removing scarf and gloves. Sometimes I start with thicker
mittens on and carry a pair of lightweight gloves for when I start to sweat.

If it's below 20 degrees I wear an old parka with synthetic fill that goes down
to mid-thigh. I've modified the back with a zip so that it doesn't get caught
on my bike seat (this was a big problem). Depending how cold out it is, I'll
layer that over the windproof fleece and down vest as well.

Beneath that I like to wear wool- a long-sleeve jersey and an underlayer.
Very good temp range.
