I am forwarding an email from one of our health partners (see below).
Tomorrow the state legislature will hold a hearing on a bill that
would be very good for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other people that
want good community design.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the hearing, however, if
you can go, or send a message of support, please do. The committee web
page is:

http://www.legis.state.wi.us/w3asp/commpages/IndividualCommittee.aspx?COMMITTEE=Commerce%2c+Utilities%2c+Energy%2c+and+Rail&HOUSE=Senate

You can use that to email the members.

Hello Robbie,

Here is the information about the public hearing for SB-314, which
pertains to Traditional Neighborhood Design and Mixed-use Zoning.

Tuesday, March 23, 1010, at 11:05 a.m. in room 400 SE

The bill is authored by the Joint Legislative Council. It is being
heard by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Utilities, Energy, and
Rail. Senator Julie Lassa, who chaired the 2008 Special Committee,
will be speaking to the bill. I am not aware of any co-sponsors at
this time.
