The really interesting thing here is that the bike share program is operated by RACV, an Australian version of the AAA. RACV even has an inexpensive "Bicycle Membership", which includes free maps and some sort of "roadside service." (I don't know if that means they actually send someone out to fix a flat, or what.) In any case, it's a refreshing contrast to the hostility our AAA has traditionally shown to all forms of transportation other than the automobile.
