=v= No, this is typical NYPD behavior and has been since their
beefed-up "anti-terrorism" measures put in place during the
Republican National Convention in 2004. In other places (and
for other Presidents) there have been bicycles removed from
near entrances to buildings here and there, but nothing like
this, along an entire motorcade route.
=v= I also think it extremely unlikely that the White House
would participate in something so damaging to the President's
image as bike seizures on Earth Day.
