Madison Ride of Silence 2010 Wed May 19th 7:00pm
We will meet at Brittingham Park, ride onto Park St, to Langdon, in front of Memorial Union and Library Mall, up State St to Capitol Square, once around and then down East Wash to the Mall. People can have friends, family etc. pick them up there.We will have some Ride of Silence, etc. posters for people to pin to their shirts or jerseys. 1st come, 1st served. Probably not enough for everyone.We will also try and make up some black and red armbands.
This ride is not a formally organized ride. Ride support will not be available. The Ride of Silence is a remembrance ride and awareness ride. Bike Safety is top priority for everyone who shows up:
* Wear a helmet.
* Wear bright visible clothes.
* Bring a LIGHT for your Bike. Lights will probably be needed after 7:30.
* Use hand signals to communicate with vehicles and fellow cyclists.
* Follow rule of the road (for example: stop signs & lights)
* Spare tube or patch kit if you have one.
