An invite from the Mayor's Office... Construction is almost finished on the Aberg Avenue pedestrian and bike bridge, and Mayor Dave would like to invite you to a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, June 1 at 2:30pm on the west side of the bridge in Washington Manor Park. The City will have Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, who was instrumental in securing the federal funding for the project, join us on Tuesday, as well as Alder Larry Palm. The bridge will fully connect the Starkweather bike path, allowing vital north – south bike and pedestrian traffic.
After a brief speaking program, we’ll invite attendees to join us on a ceremonial first ride across the bridge, so bring your bikes!
