This is a film, about seven minutes long, reportedly taken in 1908 from
the front of a streetcar in Barcelona:

It's similar to the one taken along Market Street in San Francisco that
was widely publicised a few months ago (but maybe not here?). It's fun
to see how formally everybody was dressed and how many people were
relying upon bicycles for transport-- very few automobiles to be seen.
What's astounding to me is how blythely cyclists cross the tracks, even
just in front of the oncoming streetcar. Was life cheaper back then, or?
And at 5:08, notice the gentleman in modern dress snapping a photo with
what looks like a 5G or 6G iPhone. From this, we learn that time travel
will be invented soon, and that skinny jeans will still be in fashion in
a few years.
