Perhaps a call to the Parks Dept could get you the answer. http://www.cityofmadison.com/parks/index.htm
And even if they don't know, or the answer is, "We have crappy racks, and not enough for the people expected to show up." you will have planted a seed in their minds that they need to provide bike parking - on a daily basis, but especially for large events. I urge all Bikies to make sure event planners and city departments know we want decent bike parking at city parks. One of the first goals of the Platinum Report that the Ped-Bike-Motor Vehicle Commission recommended be accomplished (on advice from Bike Walk Madison) was for all city parks and libraries, as well as all city buildings, to have bike racks that meet city code. Many do not. Robbie Webber Bike Walk Madison Steering Committee www.bikewalkmadison.org Join our group on Facebook!
