It's starting to feel a little more like winter everyday...can't wait for SNOW!
Madison Bike Winter is gearing up for a few upcoming events I'd like to let you
know about:
-Tomorrow, 11/28 (10 am), Garner Park - Bombay's Freezaroo 30
-Wed, 12/8 (6-8), Memorial Union (TITU) -Bike Winter Fashion Show, Willing
participants/models still needed to show off different gear &/or methods to
prepare to bike in winter.
-Wed, 12/15 (5:30), Downtown Great Dane - Great Dane to Great Dane Ride - Ride
from downtown to Hilldale & then back downtown; departing Hilldale at 7 to head
back downtown; bring a light!
-Sat, 12/18 (11 am), TBD - Santa Rampage/Ugly Sweater Ride - A ride is
tentatively planned for participants to either break out their Santa suits or a
favorite UGLY sweater, that maybe they got from Santa, & go for a short ride
from downtown destination to other destinations, partaking in hot/cold
beverages
along the way.
-Madison Snow Emergencies (5:30) - Snow Biking, any time the City of Madison
declares a "snow emergency," meet at the City/County Building on MLK for a bike
ride, route TBD by riders who show up.

The idea is very simple—with the proper gear and a little determination, you
can
continue to enjoy bicycling year round. Add in the comraderie of a bunch of
riders and exciting events and you've got Bike Winter!
