Here's what I observed on my commute from Fair Oaks area to downtown this
morning at around 8. Overall, conditions were not too bad and were certainly
better than a week ago. The stretch of the Isthmus path that I rode was
plowed, but a hard snow-pack remained. There were some patches of ice, which
required caution, but were fairly textured and therefore not too slippery. A
little sand would be nice in these areas. The streets that I used (including
the E Wilson St. bike boulevard) were of similar condition to the path, but
with a few areas of snow "flour" which tires sink into. Though not a part of
my route, it appeared that the Dixon St/ Starkweather Creek Path had not
been plowed.
