While bicycle-related health sounds like a convincing argument, I feel this is the wrong message to send to a Governor who has expressed a preference for "Jobs jobs jobs" and repealing Obamacare. We are dealing with conservatives here, with a very very narrow idea of what the value of bicycling is - and based on my experience, are not the least bit interested in listening to anybody else's opinion on the matter, least of all that of the BFW. Lobbying the Republicans that control the state would be a lot easier if you gave them a reason they already will accept to support bicycling. Since Republicans want to return to the 1950's, I believe it would be much more effective to promote a 1950's image of providing better bicycling facilities for schools.
