“Global Warming Challenges & Solutions”
Presented by Susan Loomans
2pm February 6, 2011

At Arboretum Cohousing

1137 Erin Street, Madison, WI

Melting arctic ice, droughts in the west, record-breaking floods, tornadoes in
January. These are some of the headlines we read about each day. But what do
they mean? As it becomes clearer that these events are related to
human-induced climate change, the more important question becomes “what can we
do about it?”

Sue Loomans has studied climate change in places ranging from the Midwest to as
far away as Antarctica, and is committed to working on the climate crisis. She
also works as an education specialist for Transwestern Sustainability Services
in Milwaukee. Previously, she was Executive Director for the Wisconsin Green
Building Alliance, a non profit organization that promotes sustainable building
practices across the state.

Please join this visually stimulating and thought-provoking journey into the
most important issue facing our planet. Discuss everyday decisions that can
make a difference. Look at ways that each one of us can become a leader in the
climate movement through our communities, businesses, and governments.

This Event is cosponsored by Transition Madison, the local 350.org group and
the Four Lakes chapter of the Sierra Club. For more information:
