Why not fix the problem.widen/replace the bridge? If not, when? (I don't know the answer - just asking.)

Considering that the speed limit on this part of University Ave is 35 MPH, and perhaps should be lower, I find the fact that people regularly speed both an invalid reason that bicyclists cannot share the lane and a very good argument for some sort of engineering solution to make people feel uncomfortable going 50 MPH.
