This is the 2nd year for the ride in Madison. We hope to continue the ride
every year. Come on out and join us, last year we were accompanied by a
reporter from WORT and had over 40 riders and hope to have more this year,
we also have Officers from the Southwest Policing Team with us. It is not a
critical mass ride, we will be obeying all traffic rules and using hand
signals to communicate. Helmets, headlights and taillights please. Thanks,
hoping as many riders as possible will join us.

Subject: [Bikies] Ride of Silence on Wednesday

first I've heard of this:

FTA:
"Ferguson is heading a Madison version of the "Ride of Silence" to honor
bicyclists who've been killed or injured by motor vehicles. The ride begins
at Brittingham Park Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Launched in 2003 in Dallas, Texas, the Ride of Silence is a free event that
asks cyclists to pedal no faster than 12 mph and remain silent throughout.
It aims to raise awareness of drivers, police departments and elected
officials that bicyclists have a legal right to the public roadways."
