The bicycle event and the motorcycle event could start at about the same times,
and end at the same place, but you'd probably have different routes for the two
groups; the route for the motorcycles would probably be longer and busier than
the bicyclists' route.

But you could have some sort of end-of-ride picnic, or party, that included
both groups.

Subject: [Bikies] Dane County Humane Society - Ideas/Suggestions Sought

I met w/a friend who works for the DCHS & she's wanting to incorporate a
bicycling event into their motorcycle fundraiser, called Ride for Pets,
scheduled in Aug. At 1st I thought it would be possible but as I sat listening
to their plans for their motorcycle themed fundraiser, I was having more & more
trouble figuring out a way to incorporate the 2 types of transportation.

Has anyone ever seen a fundraiser that successfully incorporates bicycles &
motorcycles? Otherwise, would anyone have any ideas on how maybe DCHS could do
this successfully? I figure they may just have to have 2 completely different
events because, in my mind, both themes may attract completely different people
to them & I'm not sure how well they'd mesh together, etc.
