FIGHTING POVERTY LOCALLY - 1ST COALITION MEETING Thursday, July 28 ยท 6:00pm - 8:00pm ------------------------------ Location Goodman South Madison Branch Public Library 2222 S. Park St. (in the building in front of the Villager Mall) Madison, Wisconsin ------------------------------ Madison now has a 17 % poverty rate. Over half of our students in the public schools qualify for free or reduced lunch due to poverty and yet our state and federal government keep cutting programs to help those most in need. No one deserves to go to bed hungry or homeless. How can we make sure all our neighbors get their basic needs met and are supported in their efforts to lift themselves out of poverty? Please join Progressive Dane for an organizing meeting to work on addressing poverty locally. We hope to build a diverse coalition of groups and individuals committed to pushing an anti-poverty agenda. We need your ideas and your energy!
