City is completely repaving the Starkweather Creek path, from Shoko Drive to Anderson St. Construction should begin today and the contractor (Tri-County Paving) has 30 calendar days to complete and reopen the path. The bridge over Aberg is closed because the path on the north side will be under construction in both directions. The contractor has posted a detour for this using E Washington. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a very good alternative route to this important path. We are sorry for the inconvenience and hoe to get this path back in service, better than ever.

I asked a bicyclist coming the other way what was up with the bridge, and he said he had no idea--it was perfectly usable. Can someone with the city explain what's up with the bridge over Aberg?
