Subject: [Bikies] Madison's First Downtown Bike Corral is installed!
Hello,
The city just completed installation of downtown's first bike corral on King
Street in front of the Tipsy Cow. One on-street car parking spot has been
designated as a bike corral that will now park 10 bikes. I believe it will be
operational until mid-November and then will be pulled for the winter. It's
important that we show the city that the corrals are effective. Please park at
the corral whenever you are downtown. We want it to be full 24/7!
I've asked the City, DMI, BID, PBVMC and others to work on a ribbon-cutting
ceremony to educate the media and public on what the corrals are. I'll keep you
posted on a date. Hopefully by early next week.
