For those who haven't seen this article I wanted to bring it to the attention

I've had the opportunity to use this service twice this summer, both to
Appleton and Wausau.  it's a great way to experience some new roads without
having to drive your car. If you don't have the time (or energy) to do a round
trip you can ride the bus north (or south) on a Friday and spend the weekend
traveling home by bike, either camping or staying in hotels (which could use
your business) on the way home.

for $10 Lamers will put your bike in the cargo hold under the bus.  you can
spend your time reading, poring over maps to find your route back home or just
relaxing.  Thanks to the Bike Fed and others for making this happen!

It's no high speed rail but I think it's a great service.  I hope people will
use it so we don't lose it.
