Things are getting really bad in Washington, DC for all who favor transportation options besides driving everywhere. The House will vote soon on a bill that would eliminate funding for transit, walking, and biking programs. It's all roads, all the time.
Tammy Baldwin has been good on these issues, but it doesn't hurt to contact her office to be sure she knows we are behind her. And if you happen to live elsewhere - I know there's a few of you out there - please call your representative, or have your parents, kids, brother, sweetheart, or best friend from college call. I got no less than five urgent messages today alone, asking me to* call my Representative on the National Call-In Day on Transportation and oppose HR7, House American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs Act.* Below are a few links to various organization, if you want to see what they say, although they are all pretty much the same info. The first two also have links to email and phone numbers, so you can contact your Representative.
