Hey Bikies!

Ali and I are going to be doing yet another Monday night WORT 89.9 FM
Access Hour radio call-in program from 7-8pm on March 19, 2012 and we will
be focusing on folks getting a jump start on their spring cycling season.

We will be discussing how to be ready for that first gorgeous day, the pros
of getting a pre-spring bicycle tune-up (beat the crowds!), as well as
promoting several local community-based cycling events.

Although we have no official affiliation with it, we are going to highlight
the 30 Days of Biking phenomenon and encourage Madisonians to register for
both April, 2012 and September, 2012 30 Days of Biking.

We will also be highlighting and sharing the details/info about the
following events:

Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin's (BFW) 2012 Bike to Work Week (May 2012, I
need to confirm the dates with BFW)
The BFW's Get Up & Ride Challenge: May 1, 2012 - Aug 31, 2012

The Madtown Maidens Women's Alley Cat Ride: Sat May 5, 2012

Madison's Downtown Ride the Drive: June 3, 2012
Madison's Northside Ride the Drive: August 12, 2012
We Are All Mechanics Mondays Around Monona rides: Monday evenings
throughout August & September, 2012

Additionally we will be compiling a list of info and links about other
local cycling clubs, group-rides, and events to share during the program.

If you fellow bikies have other issues/events/topics that you would like us
to touch upon, please send us suggestions.
We can't promise to get to everything, but we do want to be inclusive and
to share the local bike love.
