Adventure Cycling felt they had to change the route of the Northern Tier
and Lewis and Clark rides because of the amount of heavy truck traffic
through North Dakota's "oil path."

When you get out west, there aren't that many paved roads that go for any
distance, so they mostly moved down to the I-94 corridor.
