I thought some people on this list would be interested in this idea. I do not
think Jim is on the Bikies list, so if you are interested, or have information,

Subject: Small Bike Touring Conference in Madison later this summer...

Hello Bike tourist,

I'm taking a chance and throwing out an idea for a modest Bike Touring (self
supported) Conference to be held later this summer in Madison. I have fallen in
love with touring again after a 30 year hiatus and feel like there would be a
cool opportunity to hold a one day event to share stories, ideas, bikes,
technology, gear, trips, etc... to a bike crazed crowd of madisonians and
Wisconsinites.

I thought a great East side location like Goodman, Revolution, Orton Park, or
even Central Park could be a viable venue for a hands on collection of
workshops and or speakers to present information and ideas around the explosion
of self supported biking opportunities.

I know all of you know other folks who may love bike camping, touring, etc...
so I thought I would put out notice and see if the interest is common. share
this e-mail and forward to others. and get beck to me with any thoughts. Could
be really fun and great local gathering which Madison is famous for.

Thanks for listening

Jim Dunn
