Part of the SW Path extension (formerly known as the Missing Link until John
Coleman forged it) in the south campus areas will be closed to through
traffic, along with parts of Orchard St, Spring St, and Capitol Ct. This is a
city project, I've included all the information I have below.

Please exercise caution in the area.

Thanks,

chuck

Subject: FW: Closure of N. Orchard Street, Spring Street & Capital Court

Robert and Chuck,

Since this project is in the area of the University, I wanted to make sure
you received this press release.

Beginning Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:00 am, N. Orchard Street (between
Regent Street and West Dayton Street), Spring Street (between North Randall
Avenue and Charter Street) and Capital Court will be closed to through
traffic for construction. These closures will last about three months.

The contract allows the Southwest Bike Path to be closed for three
consecutive days (for utility work) and one day (final surface pavement).
More information on the Southwest bike path closure, including the detour
description, the contract special provisions for traffic control and maps
showing the detour traffic control, is available by clicking on the link
below. We don't have specific dates when the SW path will be closed, but the
contractor is required to give us a five days advance notice prior to closing
the bike path. We will send out separate news releases notifying of each bike
path closure.
