Poet and writer Maya Stein's road trip from Amherst, Mass., to
Milwaukee might be more accurately measured in keystrokes than in miles.
By bicycling the more than 1,300 miles towing an old-fashioned
typewriter - which she's using to collect impromptu writings from
strangers for a book - one could also say she's "writing" her bike to
Milwaukee.

Maya Stein will be at two venues on June 13 in Milwaukee:
At Discovery World, 500 N. Harbor Drive, she'll stage a write-in for
the public from 2 to 4 p.m.
At Boswell Book Co., 2559 N. Downer Ave., another write-in will run
from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a talk at 7 p.m. that will include some
of the writings she's collected on her trip.
