Maybe I just ,missed this. I knew that they were going to rebuild Langdon, and there'd be disruption/closings, I just didn't know it was going to start NOW.
Biked by the Union on my way to the PBMVC meeting tonight and didn't see any signs. Coming home, BOOM, detour signs, sidewalk closed, trucks and machinery digging up the street. Starting at night? I thought it must be some sort of emergency water pipe work. But an acquaintance at the Union tells me, no, this is the beginning of a very long project on Langdon. So be aware. Apparently, you can go eastbound, but not westbound. I haven't checked closely, but it sure looks to me like there are barricades at both Lake and Park. Did anyone see a notice from the UW or the City? It's a city street, but obviously has a pretty big impact on the UW population, at least those on the east end. I usually see these things, but this one seems to have snuck up on me.
