Maybe I just ,missed this. I knew that they were going to rebuild Langdon,
and there'd be disruption/closings, I just didn't know it was going to
start NOW.

Biked by the Union on my way to the PBMVC meeting tonight and didn't see
any signs. Coming home, BOOM, detour signs, sidewalk closed, trucks and
machinery digging up the street. Starting at night? I thought it must be
some sort of emergency water pipe work. But an acquaintance at the Union
tells me, no, this is the beginning of a very long project on Langdon.

So be aware. Apparently, you can go eastbound, but not westbound. I haven't
checked closely, but it sure looks to me like there are barricades at both
Lake and Park.

Did anyone see a notice from the UW or the City?It's a city street, but
obviously has a pretty big impact on the UW population, at least those on
the east end.  I usually see these things, but this one seems to have snuck
up on me.
