On a related note, I was in Portland last weekend and saw some cool food-delivery bikes used by a company called Portland Pedal Power.

Even cooler --- I saw the delivery bikes at the Portland Farmers' Market when their riders were handing out leaflets advertising bike loans from a local bank!

Below is the job description from my friend, Patrick DePula. If you are interested, please contact him directly:

Our restaurant, Salvatore's Tomato Pies, is looking to hire a bike delivery
pilot to deliver pizzas in Sun Prairie. As far as we know, this is the
first pizza delivery bike in Dane County. Maybe Wisconsin.

It's a trek transport, with electric assist. it will cruise at around 20
miles per hour, and makes hills feel like flats. The position pays $7.25
an hour, plus tips. I suspect that tips will be really solid, when
customers realize we're delivering by bicycle.

or swing by the restaurant at
503.w. main st.
Sun Prairie, WI 53590
608.318.1761 <tel:608.318.1761>

We typically deliver from 4:30-ish until 10PM. Tuesday through Sunday.
