Have no fear, when the Halloween party comes around, the MPD will saw off
locks and confiscate enough bicycles to ease our parking problems on state
street.

every parking meter should have a bike hoop in downtown and near side biz
districts....and a spot should be taken out in that intersection in warm
months for a bigger bike rack! Remember this..it's not "Bike" parking..it's
"CUSTOMER" Parking!

Desperate pleas from citizens fall on deaf ears as vehicles in local parking
ramp are forced to stack three-high. Details on page 3....

Oh, wait, if it were a car parking ramp, there would be panic if one patron
had to park in another ramp and walk an extra block or two. But when it
happens with any other facility, likely driving (no pun intended) potential
customers away from local enterprises, it's just another Friday
afternoon.... http://userpages.chorus.net/elephant/BikeParking.jpg - yes,
the gentleman pictured is parking bicycle number 12 in a 4-position rack at
State & Gorham. The rack in the background can be witnessed to be at 200% or
more capacity on just about any day of the week.
