When there are more cyclists on the road, there is an increased
awareness of them by motorists... and MV v. bicycle collisions
decrease. So more is better.

I think the same goes for information like 'alcohol was a contributing
factor' or 'the driver was distracted' or 'the motorcyclist/cyclist
was not wearing a helmet' or 'the driver was not wearing a seatbelt;'
they are all essential pieces of info for the public to know -
regardless of whether they were the KEY contributing factors to the
death or injury or cause. MORE is BETTER. The MORE times the public
hears these things, the sooner safe behaviour will become more
widespread. That may seem optimistic, but what else is left?

I>>think it's just SOB to include whether the person injured was using
>>safety equipment:
>>Helmet for bicyclists and motorcyclists (Or skateboarders, rollerbladers,
>>etc.)
>>Seat belt for MV drivers and passengers.

>>Also pretty common in stories about MV crashes: whether speed and/or
>>alcohol were considered contributing factors.
