Hello, Just wanted to give a quick update on Madison Bike Winter and also announce an event happening later today.
Today's event: See https://www.facebook.com/events/570472639645433/ Spread the Joy Ride Today, 1-4 PM Very similar to "Cranksgiving." We'll plan to do a ride starting from Cronometro (start & end) on Lakeside & have each rider gather a selection of items needed for local charity, mostly toiletries. You're encouraged to dress in festive attire. There may be prizes for the most gathered, heaviest payload, most festive, etc. Afterwards, we'll gather at a local cafe to warm up. Future event(s): New Year's Day Ride - See https://www.facebook.com/events/138145129671239/ Starting from Ground Zero Coffee on Williamson and then we'll join the annual Yellow Jersey ride on State Street. Madison Winter Bike To Work Week - Again will be planned for mid February Great Dane to Great Dane - Will announce if we plan to host a future ride, possibly in January. Frozen Lake Ride - Contingent on whether the lake(s) actually freeze and if there will be opportunity. Informative talks, discussions, or demonstration - May plan some for January and also in conjunction with the Winter Bike To Work Week. Meetups - Will plan to continue to host approximately 1 per month, watch our Facebook page.
