Friends,**** ** ** City of Madison is planning to construct the continuation of the Ice age Junction Path (a/k/a/ Ice Age Junction “Trail”) from Raymond Road to Flagstone Drive in 2013. This include a new bridge over Upper Badger Mill Creek, and is part of a major path beginning in Verona and planned to extend to north of Mineral Point Road. The current project also includes a connecting path to the end of existing Jeffy Trail, substantial sanitary sewer work and some stormwater improvements just east of the connecting path. This email is to let stakeholders know about the planned upcoming Public Informational Meeting and give you a link to BikeMadison website for more information and maps.**** ** ** See below for the info and please pass this on to anyone else who you think might be interested. Feel free to contact me for more information. **** ** ** *NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR* *ICE AGE JUNCTION PATH, RAYMOND RD TO FLAGSTONE DR* ** ** The City of Madison is proposing to construct a new asphalt bicycle and pedestrian path from Raymond Road to Flagstone Drive at Quartz Lane, in 2013. This is an extension of the existing Ice Age Junction Path which begins in Verona. and currently ends at Raymond Road. This project will include a new bike bridge over Upper Badger Mill Creek. The project also includes a connecting path to the end of existing Jeffy Trail, sanitary sewer installation serving Hawks Creek subdivision and stormwater improvements downstream of the ponds east of Jeffy Trail.(This project is separate from but related to the proposed changes for the property purchased from Madison Audubon Society, for which there was a recent neighborhood meeting.)**** ** ** Neighbors and other interested citizens are invited to attend a Public Informational Meeting where City staff will present maps and information, and seek input on the project.
