Hello,

Does anyone on the bikies list have the willingness to help middle-school
kids to "learn to ride" this spring and fall?

Phy Ed teachers at Spring Harbor, Jefferson, Blackhawk, and Toki middle
schools will be implementing a bike safety unit in their PE classes this
April and May, and in September and October, too. The PE teachers are
excited about starting this unit, but worried about how to handle kids that
might not even know how to ride a bike.

If they have some students that need some extra help at first, I would like
to be able to put them in touch with a local volunteer who has experience
with the learn to ride method described in this
video<http://www.ebay.com/itm/210-Painters-Caps-White-Cotton-One-Size-fits-Most-BULK-CLEARANCE-/130867605355?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D6335596710110410976%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D160865685973%26>.
The volunteer could spend some time on a Saturday or Sunday with the kid
(or kids) to get them to a point where they can balance and ride by
themselves, before the PE teachers start their bike safety unit

Is anyone interested in helping out? Send me an e-mail if you are.

Sonia
