Plus, a second Senate amendment has been offered to cut Transportation
Alternatives funding.

The procedural details are a bit complicated - see link below - but if you
have a Twitter account, you can both keep up with what is happening and
make a real difference by tweeting at your Congressional reps. (I'm not
sure how I feel about the idea of "tweeting at" someone. Sounds really
aggressive.)

This could happen very fast, and also at night or other "after hours" time.
That means that emails and phone calls may not be seen/heard/recorded
between the amendment being offered and the vote.
