The procedural details are a bit complicated - see link below - but if you have a Twitter account, you can both keep up with what is happening and make a real difference by tweeting at your Congressional reps. (I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of "tweeting at" someone. Sounds really aggressive.) This could happen very fast, and also at night or other "after hours" time.
