=v= I believe it's been known for a while that gyroscopic forces
aren't necessary for a bike to stay upright. However, we can
certainly feel those forces at work with bigger wheels at higher
speeds, so it's understandable that at the first approximation,
people would think that's what's doing it.
=v= Ride a few mutant chopper bikes, though, and you'll be left
wondering what's going on. Which would put you in the company
of the world's top physicists.
