Interesting article highlighting what many of us already know: driving is
dropping in the United States and it isn't necessarily tied to the economic
downturn.

Wisconsin ranks third in the greatest percentage drop in vehicle miles
traveled from 2005 - 2001, yet we continue to push billions of dollars into
highway and road expansions.

On a related note, WisDOT announced that dozens of bridges in the state are
structurally deficient:

Wouldn't that money be better spent bringing the infrastructure we already
