I can tell you that as a MV operator I missed this sign several times after
it was introduced. Should definitely be across the way or better yet, a red
arrow as part of the signal. Is that an option or is it considered
nonstandard? I'm not sure if I've ever seen one like it, but feel it would
be effective. Also needed on North Shore as mentioned.

And speaking of North Shore does anyone know why we haven't changed the
signals to facilitate one open crossing moment for cyclists and PEDs? With
the new design and elimination of the third Nolen southbound lane, we could
allow North Shore to Nolen southbound traffic be green concurrent with
Nolen through traffic and then red when PEDs/bikes cross. Is there concern
with MV ability to merge on Nolan?
