=v= I'll give the _Oregonian_ credit for mentioning something
that the _WSJ_ left out, though "a messy bankruptcy involving
an equipment supplier" is a bit of an understatement, since
Bixi, the company going bankrupt supplies the bikes and the
docks, which is pretty much all of the equipment!
=v= As for the software, well, part of Bixi's trouble is that
they ditched the company that created it (8D), who then sued
them. Bixi hired some consultants to write new software atop
the 8D software for Chattanooga and New York, and apparently
it had problems. Alta has made a deal to work with 8D.
