I will chime in here and second the recommendation to take the course, even if you only plan on teaching safe bicycling to your own children. It really is worth your time.
Also, if anyone on this list is interested in working with middle school students in a bicycle unit, I am looking for volunteers to help Phy Ed teachers at Spring Harbor or Jefferson Middle Schools this spring. Share your passion for biking with the younger generation! I need folks who can volunteer during the school day, and remain calm and positive in the midst of a group of excitable adolescents.
