If anyone is looking for a job in Milwaukee, or knows someone looking for a
job in Milwaukee, here's a really interesting one.

I'm hoping we can get a similar program started in Madison, but until then
I'm curious to see how it works in Milwaukee.

If you aren't familiar with SmartTrips, here's Portland's web page:

Subject: [People] Full Time Smart Trips Position in Milwaukee, WI
To: [email protected]

The Wisconsin Bike Fed is hiring a full time Smart Trips Coordinator in two
great and diverse adjacent neighborhoods in Milwaukee, WI to launch the
program.

Milwaukee is a hidden gem of the midwest where miles of unofficial MTB
trails wend through the City, businesses really support biking and houses
and drinks are cheap. Ideally, out of state interviews could be conducted
in person at ProWalk ProBike Pro Place.

This job is perfect for someone who wants to create and implement a program
and transform a neighborhood.

Program Coordinator– Smart Trips

Primary Objective

Coordinate the Wisconsin Bike Fed's <http://wisconsinbikefed.org/about/>
Smart Trips Neighborhood Program that aims to increase the use of walking,
biking, transit, and carpooling trips and reduce single-occupancy vehicle
(SOV) trips in the Riverwest and Harambee neighborhoods in Milwaukee, WI.

This position is budgeted on a full-time basis for $35,000 with full
benefits (health, vacation, dental, retirement matching, etc). This is
enough to buy a house here.

To apply, please send a cover letter, a resume, and at least one writing
sample in a single pdf to [email protected] by 9/5/14.
