After yesterday's People's Climate March, none of our governmental officials can say "but there is no ground swell of support' enacting laws and funding programs to confront the reality and increasing threat of more global warming and its devastating economic and environmental impacts.
Although even much more will be needed, my petition to provide positive financial incentives for less driving, reduced (no) flying, and lower than average fossil fuel derived energy use in the home, annually, needs to be implemented to help turn the tide against the cascading more rapid global warming. I had to up the ante for all the time that has been wasted. The government should agree to pay 3 - 4 times the amounts identified in my original proposal.
