The City of Madison and Toole Design Group are hosting an Open House to discuss
bicycle and moped parking in downtown Madison. Please join us to tell us about
why you bike or ride a moped downtown, where you lock your bike or moped, and
improvements you would like to see to bicycle and moped parking in the study
area.
The downtown area for this study is defined as roughly two blocks out from the
Capitol Square and a corridor down State Street to Library Mall. The study area
can be viewed in Google Maps here: http://goo.gl/ndevVP.
We would like to hear from:
* People who live in this area;
* People who work or attend classes in this area;
* People who come to this area to shop, eat, for entertainment or any
other reason; and
* Business and property owners in this area.
We would like to know:
* Where do you park during the day;
* Where do you park overnight;
* What do you do with your bicycle or moped during the winter;
* Where would you like to see additional bicycle or moped parking;
* Are you willing to pay for more secure bicycle parking; and
* What options would you like to see for bicycle or moped parking?
The Open House will have exhibits of existing bicycle parking in this area as
well as ideas for additional bicycle parking. There is no formal presentation -
please drop in any time between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
