Grant:

There was a news article about the closure a week or so ago:

http://host.madison.com/ct/news/local/writers/steven_elbow/work-closes-wingra-bike-path/article_ecd5dbd7-21c5-5705-935c-d79318ae6972.html

I also thought there was a Bikies message, but can't find it at this time...

Subject: [Bikies] Wingra Creek Path Closure
Does anyone have any infomation on the path closure along the Wingra Creek
Path between Olin and Beld? There have been varying degrees of detour signs
posted, sometimes with activity, often without and I haven't been able to
find any information on the expected duration of the detour. It looks like
Parks is involved with some tree removal along the creek, but the activity
has been off and on for several weeks now.

Would also be good to undertand if the paths on both sides of the creek
really need to be closed at the same time or if some adjustments could be
made to keep one side open. This is a fairly well used commuter cooridor
and it would be nice to know that all attempts are being made to limit the
impact on commuters.

Anyone with info out there?

Grant
